Hi, I’m Karla, a self-taught photographer who’s been behind the camera for as long as I can remember—literally. I picked up my first camera at 8 years old, and now at 23, photography has grown from a childhood curiosity into a full-blown passion and profession! I specialize primarily in equine photography, capturing both powerful action shots and quiet, soulful portraits.
Horses have been a huge part of my life long before photographing them ever was—I have years of hands-on experience riding and working with them, which allows me to anticipate moments, understand their behavior, and create images that feel natural, respectful, and true to who they are. I believe that understanding horses from the inside out makes all the difference behind the lens.
